Back to work ? Make sure your testimonials are up-to-date

It’s been a while since our last newsletter and I hope that you have been able to relax at least a little during the summer holidays.

If you are still waiting for customers to slowly get back into work mode you might just have a little time on your hands to complete a few tasks that were put to one side during busier moments. One such task might be making sure that all of the testimonials you have received from happy clients have been uploaded to vouchforthis!

Don’t forget, you can also use vouchforthis to ask your clients to give you a testimonial, and you can even suggest a testimonial to them – if they are busy this can be ideal for them as they only need to accept or decline the testimonial without having to spend their time thinking of something to write. It’s good for you too, as you will know what you want emphasised in the testimonial.

Tip 1 : From my own experience it is more likely you will get an approved testimonial from a client if you write it yourself and send it to them via vouchforthis. Take a look at our Guide to asking for Testimonials.

Vouchforthis – 3 easy steps to more credibility for your testimonials

If you haven’t tried it yet, it really is easy to start building your portfolio of verified testimonials…

  1. Add your testimonials – log in and go to ‘My Testimonials’, add each of your testimonials to the site or ask your clients to supply them for you
  2. Build your widget(s) – choose which testimonials you want to group together, how wide your widget will be, and what colour the text, background and border will be
  3. Paste your widget code into your website where you want your testimonials to appear

It’s as simple as that! Then, as you get more testimonials you just need to add them to Vouchforthis and they will automatically appear wherever you have pasted your widget code (e.g. web pages, blogs, Business-Scene etc.)

Login and add some testimonials now.

Member Focus : Chris Rowell adds over 40 testimonials

Chris Rowell ImageIn our last newsletter (way back towards the end of May) we said we would give 3 months free membership to the person who added the most testimonials to the site before the end of June.

Well, we had quite a battle between a small handful of members who added quite a few testimonials, but in the end there was a clear winner. Chris Rowell, from Positive Property Investment, added a massive 44 testimonials.

Positive Property Investment is a one-stop resource for investing in property, saving their customers time and money and preventing them from making costly mistakes.

Well done Chris for taking our challenge so seriously, and thank you to all the other members who added a veritable mountain of new testimonials. Vouchforthis does work, and we honestly believe that it not only delivers more credibility for your testimonials, but also gives you a great platform from which to manage your testimonial portfolio as well as a good opportunity to get back in touch with old clients.

Tip 2 : Let us know which websites you are displaying your Vouchforthis testimonials on and we will add you to our members directory, giving you increased profile and the possibility of additional traffic to your website.

Remember : If you don’t use vouchforthis (and don’t tell us how you use it) we cannot feature you here. So get adding those testimonials, build those widgets, and start deploying them around the web, and maybe you will be featured next month!

About DMJ

DMJ Computer Services own and operate the Vouchforthis website. DMJ build and operate other websites too, and help website owners to deliver more traffic to their websites by using good SEO techniques.

We think of ourselves more as “web-presence” builders these days rather than pure web designers / developers, preferring to use existing technologies to deliver cost-effective results in a timely manner rather than re-inventing the wheel by building websites from scratch.

WordPress is our current favourite platform, as it enables us to build good-looking, functional, robust websites for clients very quickly and at a fraction of the cost of a traditional website, whilst at the same time delivering a great solution for website owners to make future modifications to their website themselves without incurring further development expense.

If you would like to discuss a website project or want to explore ways of increasing your traffic or improving your conversion rates, please contact us.

Until next time…
